Project partner TERGY SAGAVA recently took part in the “Accelerate Maritime Innovation Through Open & Accessible Testbeds” event hosted in the Copenhagen-Malmö Port innovation ecosystem, in collaboration with Copenhagen Malmö Port, Ocean Valley, and Corolab.

The event brought together key maritime stakeholders from across the Øresund region to explore how ports can function as collaborative testbeds for accelerating innovation and enabling the scale-up of sustainable solutions, including biofuels and alternative fuel supply chains.
On this occasion, Sagava also used the opportunity to present its work on the disruption of maritime fuel supply chains and the role of biofuels in supporting EU decarbonisation targets. In doing so, Sagava marked the launch of a Nordic-Baltic Communities of Practice (COP) under the SEAFAIRER project, building on the project’s growing network of regional ecosystems.
The new COP aims to connect industry, research, startups, and port authorities across the Nordic and Baltic maritime space, fostering structured dialogue and collaboration on the uptake of marine biofuels and broader maritime decarbonisation pathways.
Anchored in the vibrant innovation environment of Copenhagen and Malmö, the initiative strengthens SEAFAIRER’s mission to translate regional collaboration into scalable, real-world maritime solutions.
Stay tuned for further developments as the Nordic-Baltic COP evolves within the SEAFAIRER project!
