On 25 February 2025, the SEAFAIRER consortium held its online meeting to assess the progress made in the first six months of the project. This meeting offered an opportunity to review achievements, address challenges, and plan for the next steps.
Our main highlights from this meeting:
- Advisory Board members: The meeting started with an introduction by the project coordinator, Seyed Soheil Mansouri, followed by the presentation of the current members of the Advisory Board group: Teresa Ponce de Leao from Laboratório Nacional de Energia e Geologia (Portugal), Blaž Likozar from Kemijski inštitut – National Institute of Chemistry (Slovenia) and Pepe Castro from La Unió Llauradora i Ramadera (Spain).
- Community of Practice updates: TERGY SAGAVA shared the latest developments in the communities of practice in Mexico and Denmark, while Fundación Valenciaport provided insights into Spain’s communities of practice.
- Biofuel production campaigns: Fraunhofer UMSICHT presented the results from selected feedstocks and the biofuel production campaigns underway.
- Communication and dissemination: ETA provided a comprehensive update on the communication and dissemination activities. SEAFAIRER’s participation in the upcoming EUBCE 2025 in Valencia, Spain, was confirmed.
